Be Your Own Coach is filled with exercises and practices that you can use to coach yourself. In this section we will continue to offer you more practices to work with the ideas in the book.

If you happen to be a corporate coach, these practices will provide you with alternatives to use in coaching courses you may be teaching using our book. You may also use these practices with your in-house coaching clients.

If you are an independent professional coach, you can use these practices as a supplement to the ones offered in the book.

Coaching practice questions from the movie Finding Forrester:

  • Do you have the supports in your life to help you step into your greatest potential?
  • If yes, how do these supports help you? How do you help them?
  • If no, list some ways that you could benefit from support.
  • Then, list the names of people who might be able to help you achieve something that seems “impossible” today. (It is entirely possible that you will need to create “new” supports and rely less and less on some of the “old” supports.)
  • Lastly, request help from someone who can help you accomplish your goal.
