Christine Wahl is the Director of the Coaching Certificate Program at Georgetown University, and has been consulting to organizations for over
15 years in the areas of leadership development, executive and team coaching, strategic planning, change strategy, and transition planning,
Chris has consulted to a variety of clients in the government and private
sector. Recent or current clients include the Canadian Centre for Management Development; National Cooperative Bank; American Management Systems; SIMTEC; Fannie Mae; Medical Center at Georgetown
University; MCI; Chemical Manufacturer's Association. Highlights of her experience include the following:
- At several organizations, Chris has coached senior
leaders and their teams on issues of start-up, team integration, roles and responsibilities, and future focus.
- She has designed and conducted organization assessments in collaboration with an organization's
top management aimed at making decisions related to strategic planning, improving communications, and creating learning/coaching cultures to promote greater productivity.
- Chris has designed system-wide interventions, including upward feedback events and future
search conferences.
- As Director and faculty member of the Organization Development Certificate Program at Georgetown
University, Chris has coached and advised hundreds of participants on organization development projects, which have covered a multitude of organizational dilemmas in a
multitude of different types of organizations and industries, including manufacturing, service, high tech, government, banking, associations.
- Chris’s coaching practice includes executives and senior leaders from the private sector,
government, and associations.
In the past two years, Chris has presented at two
professional conferences on the topic of coaching and its links to organization development. The October 1999 special coaching issue of Consulting Today published her
article on the intersection of coaching and organization development.
Chris earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology and
French from the University of Tennessee and a Masters in Counseling from George Washington University. She is a Master Certified Coach and member of the
International Coach Federation. Chris has an active family life as the mother of three children, who remind her daily of her intentions for staying present, patient, and oriented to possibility.
