Workshop Details
Stages of Development are essential for coaches to know and be able to use in meeting clients "where they are." Rich in experiential learning, this workshop invites you to engage in exercises and conversations that stretch your learning related to stages of development, a theory that is becoming extremely applicable given the need for leaders to lead in unprecedented complexity.

By its nature this material will applyto your personal journey as well as to your work, covering the main aspects of the theory, tools, traps, and client issues. Like others who have gone through this workshop, you will find the topic and its application absolutely transformational for your work as a coach.

Key Workshop Objectives:

  • Describe three conventional and three postconventional stages of adult development
  • Through case studies, identify stages of development
  • Investigate client "failures" through a developmental lens
  • Recognize traps a coach can fall into depending on client stage
  • Identify resources most suited to support your clients' stage and your personal developmental journey
  • Feel for more confident in using a developmental approach with your clients

I was thrilled to discover that the workshop had an immediate and direct positive impact in 4 separate meetings with coaching clients this week - it was truly amazing and wonderful. They may well have been the best of the best engagements we had to date." -F.S.
